Some more Hampshire Downs
Wag, the sheep dog sadly died at around 16 years old in 2000. In his retirement years he spent too much time socialising with the growing lambs to have much control over them. Here, a small group of 6 month lambs are ready to play.

After shearing the ewes are expected to lose a little weight before meeting the tup. Hampshires find it difficult to keep their weight down. Here they are hoping for some extra feed.
Hampshires are the friendliest of sheep but at this stage in their lives they weigh around seventy kilograms. Walking through the field is safe but watch out, for twenty friendly nudges could be painful.
